Where will you supply your princesses?
YYC PRINCESS currently serves Calgary, Airdrie and Okotoks. If your princess party is in an area not within Calgary, Airdrie or Okotoks, you will be charged a small travel fee based on the additional miles. We keep these fees as minimal as possible, so don't hesitate to book if you are further out. We often travel an hour or more at little cost to you. Please contact us to coordinate your event if it is outside our service area.
Where will you entertain at?
We come to you - we will travel to any type of venue in Calgary that your party or event is located!
What is your Outdoor Party Policy?
We love outdoor parties! However, if you are planning an outdoor birthday party, please have another plan in mind in case the weather turns bad! Since the costumes and wigs worn by our princesses are delicate, it is preferred to have a covered or shaded area incase of bad Calgary weather, or if the Snow Queen is around! Incase of bad weather, and no shelter from the storm, the Princesses will continue at their own discretion, and a dry-cleaning fee of $20 /princess will be added on to your party fee.
Can I invite boys to the party?
Absolutely - we encourage it! We do not discriminate at YYC Princess. Our princess parties are for all children, regardless of age, gender, race, or disability. We do our best to accommodate special requests and make sure each child has a special experience. Feel free to invite whomever you choose to the party, and we will gladly include them in our activities!
Do I need to provide anything for my princess party?
We provide everything included in your party package! For example, Each child gets a provided Princess Dress to wear in lieu of an apron for our Painting Parties. We supply the brushes, easels, dresses, drop cloths, paints etc. If you've chosen face painting, then we will bring all the face painting supplies and princess magic!(We may ask for a little water to dip our brushes!)
Please provide anything that is not included in your princess package. We do not include food or beverages in our party packages.
What do the princess or princesses bring?
The princess will bring all the supplies necessary for your chosen activities. She will have a bag or a couple that will contain her supplies, and act as a place to hide her phone and keys. At times, a phone may be used for Princess music, photos and time keeping. The Princesses know how to keep required phone usage magical and to a minimum.
What can I do to help YYC Princess make the perfect party?
Always believe in magic - and encourage magic!
The princess will often park down the street so that her "carriage" will not be seen by the children, but sometimes it's not possible to park very discreetly. If you don't want them to see the cars, we suggest keeping them away from the windows, etc when the princess is scheduled to arrive and leave. The Princesses will also only handle payment once they are out of sight of the children via the magical envelope given to the King or Queen of the household at arrival.
Have your cameras ready throughout the party, you don't want to miss any special moments of your guests with our princesses! We encourage you to take as many photos and videos as you would like and be sure to share on our Facebook - YYC PRINCESS!
What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
We require a $50 deposit when booking to hold your time slot. This deposit is nonrefundable. Because we are in high demand, this policy ensures that our time slots are only taken up by royals who plan to keep their magical party!
You may cancel up to 1 week before the party. Cancellation will result in forfeiting your deposit.
Cancellation within 48hrs of the party will result in a charge of 50% of the party total.
Cancellation day of will result in full charge of the party total. In light of covid-19, all corporate bookings are subject to a $100 non refundable desposit - should you cancel your corporate event, $100, rather than $50, will not be refunded.
In the event of bad weather, serious illness, riots, Act of God, or other unforeseen emergencies, we reserve the right to cancel the event. In this instance, your deposit would be returned to you. This is the ONLY exception to the non-refundable deposit.
Our performers' safety is top priority. We reserve the right to leave any party at any time if our performers feel uncomfortable. In this instance, you would not be charged for the party, however, your deposit will not be returned.
Do you just do birthday parties?
YYC PRINCESS does SO much more than just parties! We do corporate events, charity events, hospital visits, and also special appearances for proposals, prom-posals, singing telegrams, Wedding au pairs, Skype videos, "Were going to Disney" announcements, tree lighting ceremonies, graduations, bridal showers, baby announcements, figure skating events and more! We can offer these at a very low rate, just ask!
Can I book for someone else?
Of course! We offer gift certificates! You can also pay for someone else's event or special appearance in partial or in full. Let us know when booking, or just contact us to set it up!
What forms of payment do you accept?
YYC PRINCESS can accept CREDIT, CASH, and CHEQUE. We accept cheques made out to 'YYC PRINCESS' on the day of your party. A $50 deposit is required to secure your party slot, which will be deducted from the total due on the day of the party. You can pay your deposit via E-transfer or credit card.
Do your princesses accept gratuity?
Yes! Our performers are trained professionals, and work very hard to make each party successful and magical.
Tipping your princess is the same as tipping a waiter, it's traditional to tip 15-20% of your total package cost. If you enjoyed the experience your character provided, tipping is the best way to show them.
